Pumpkin Patches and Corn Mazes

Fall wouldn’t be complete without a visit to a pumpkin patch or corn maze. You can pick your own pumpkins, get lost in a corn maze, and enjoy other family-friendly activities like hayrides and petting zoos. Seasonal Adventure Pumpkin Patch in Rancho Cucamonga offers this and then some! Here, you will find obstacle courses, mechanical rides, and a train for the little ones! If you’re also looking for fun fall decorations, they have them! From scarecrows, cornstalks, Indian corn, and strawbales. This pumpkin patch will not disappoint! Fontana comes alive with spooky fun during Halloween. There are plenty of events for families to enjoy, including trick-or-treating, haunted houses, and costume parties. Check out Spooky Splash Halloween Dive-in Movie. This event will have a Halloween movie on a big screen while you float in the pool! Concessions will also be available when you get hungry. The Community Services Department’s Halloween Trick-or-Treat Alley is another event that brings together the community for a day of fun and celebration at Jessie Turner, Cypress Neighborhood, or Don Day Center. You will be able to enjoy enchanting performances, delightful treats, and lively costume parades to revel in the Halloween spirit! The Community Services Department will also host Halloween Howl. You can bring your four-legged friends for a tail-wagging good time! Here, you can enjoy treats, music, and a pet costume contest. These are great opportunities to have thrills and chills with the whole family.

It doesn’t stop there! More opportunities for kid-friendly fun are all around all season long! Enjoy the community celebration of Dia De Los Muertos at the Don Day Neighborhood Center, or make a splash with the first-ever floating pumpkin patch at the Pumpkin Pool-ooza at the Fontana Park Aquatic Center!

For The Arboretum residents, the perfect solution is nearby your home: Jessie Turner Health & Fitness Community Center. A short drive to the community center offers a variety of play spaces, activities and classes for the whole family.

This 43,000-square-foot facility boasts a variety of amenities: fitness room, dance/aerobics room plus Tiny Tots rooms for children. Additionally, the center provides a banquet hall with a maximum capacity of 250, multipurpose room and a conference room—discover the rental opportunities available to you, whether you’re looking to host a meeting, seminar, birthday party or even a wedding.

In addition to all this space, you have access to unique programming and a variety of classes that help promote healthy habits and new skills, such as karate and gymnastics programs for kids. A bonus: Fontana Farmers’ Market sets up shop at Jessie Turner on Sundays from 10am to 3pm.

Looking for some fun in the sun? The Fontana Park Aquatic Center, located just outside the community center, is an area favorite for all kinds of pool play. Whether you’re looking to swim laps or have a fun day sliding down waterslides and splashing around, the aquatic center is an ideal place to spend time. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 5am to 8pm and Saturday from 7am to 12pm.

Just around the corner from Jessie Turner Community Center, Fontana North Skate Park offers residents some fun on wheels. Skateboarders, inline skaters and scooter riders are welcome to use the park’s two large skate bowls—one for advanced riders and one for intermediate—every day of the week, while BMXers are welcome on Sunday evenings. Additionally, the park offers summer camps and clinics throughout the year: a perfect way for younger enthusiasts to learn the ropes! The bowls include stairs, rails and boxes to challenge riders of varying skill levels—plus, you can browse for new gear at the park’s skate shop.
