Fun Fall Activities
Fall is here! And that means plenty of fun activities to enjoy around The Arboretum for the whole family.
Join the Spooky Splash: Halloween Dive Movie at the Fontana Park Aquatic Center, the Halloween Trick-or-Treat Alley at Don Day, Jessie Turner, and Cypress Centers, or the Halloween Howl at the Jessie Turner Center. Let’s be honest though—it wouldn’t be autumn without a visit to your local pumpkin patch. Lucky for you, residents of The Arboretum live close to the Seasonal Adventure Pumpkin Patch in Rancho Cucamonga. Enjoy mechanical rides, blow up slides, obstacle courses, bounce houses, a petting zoo, and a train. There’s also the Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Patch in Yucaipa, just a short 35-minute drive away! Fun rides, games, corn mazes, delicious food, and perfect family photo ops await you.
When adventure calls, you can also head over to well-loved local trail spots such as Santa Ana Riverwalk Trail for an easy-going walking path that runs alongside the Santa Ana River, and take in the sights along the way. For the more adventurous spirits and experienced hikers, there’s Icehouse Canyon to the Cucamonga Peak Trail or the Third Stream Crossing via Middle Fork Trail—where breathtaking views are guaranteed.
If you’re feeling a little less outdoorsy and more in the need of something cozy, take a short drive and look no further than the Ontario Museum of History & Art. There’s something for every interest and inquisitive mind! Enjoy the Dia De Los Muertos exhibition or get creative with some hands-on art such as the Paint in the Dark: Dia de Los Muertos.
At the end of it all, you have the ingredients for a perfect fall right in your own home. Gather around your kitchen island to DIY some themed crafts with the kids or grab your family recipe book and bake away! Whether you choose Grandma’s classic pumpkin pie, caramel apples or any other classic Fall treat, your spacious gourmet kitchen will have plenty of room for a delicious evening of family-bonding. End the night on another high—grab your freshly baked treat, a cozy blanket and settle into your spacious great room or loft for movie night!
